Has anyone installed this themselves? I just got mine and opened it up... There's no instructions for wiring the management for the electronic valve?

 

I think you mean the exhaust that comes with the tuning kit right? It has a valve that changes the sound. Do a search, I think some owners have installed it. The actual ECU tuning thing has to be installed by the dealer of course.

 

Yeah for the exhaust part of the tuning kit. Tearing off the side panels now to try to figure out how to run the wire harness and were to mount everything.

Just wish it had damn directions, I tried searching but everyone appears to be getting it done by the dealer

 

We are installing one on Wed this week.

Does the mid pipe have the secondary cat? My car is Euro spec without secondary cat. I wonder if they have different US spec and Euro spec tuning kit.

 

Yep , has a cat. The Euro cars have a different part number and also the euro cars have a different connection at the midpipe.

Thats why Milltek has a Euro exhaust and US exhaust.

Also, I thought it was a resonator in the mid pipe not a cat?

 

Its a cat, I looked at it and said wow that a big cat and not a resonater when I saw it.

 

Well that's good then... Installed everything yesterday and works great! Surprised how quiet it still is even with the flap open. Now I have something else to play with to get some more tone out of her!

Its should get a little bit louder with the packing of the exhaust, most exhaust do that. It should be pretty loud with the flap open.

 

I had my old r56 straight piped so basically everything is quiet to me now haha. Even with the flap closed I can notice a slight difference than the MCS exhaust though. Definitely worth the money so far! Just have to get the tune installed now

Get a sound clip before and after the tune if you can.

 

any one witness the coding session? I have downloaded the FSC activation file, but the interesting part is the system at the Dealer's, never asked for it at all!!!
