Speed Limit Info

We are about to order a Mini F56. We have a BMW F30, and I really like having the speed limit info, the speed limit and actual speed is displayed side by side in the HUD. The Mini F56 owner's guide says speed limit can be displayed on the dash or HUD. When I build the car on-line I can't find any option that provides speed limit info. Is speed limit info available on the F56? What option do I need to check?

My understanding is that it isn't listed on the build site, but it is an option the can be ordered. The option is called Driver Assist and requires the Parking Assist be ordered. There's a thread about this.

Not all the salesmen are savvy, so you may need to consult up the chain.

Yes, it is Active Driving Assistant on the price list. It does give you the speed limit on the left next to the current speed in the HUD. I have it and love it. I know the package does other stuff like protect pedestrians and brake to prevent collisions but thankfully I've not needed those things yet. You do need to ask for it and if they say it's not available, press further up the chain. Below is a really bad pic of the HUD display, but it's enough for proof of availability (if you zoom).

Yes, That's exactly what the HUD display looks like on my BMW, assuming it's not as tiny as it appears. It's part of BMW Driver Assistance Plus, which includes Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning and Top and Side View Cameras. Top View Camera is great! I'll check with the MA on the Mini Active Driving Assistant. Thanks for the info.

In real life it is not that tiny at all. It's really great. No lane departure and all that other stuff though.

Driving assists

I have lane change assist on my Audi A7, but some of this stuff is taking the fun out of driving, and allowing really bad drivers to use this technology as a excuse for bad behavior.
