F55/F56 What tires came on your 2015 or 2014?
Shoa... we have the same tire as you. (Michelin Primacy 3 Green X) But these are NOT run-flats. Did Mini tell you they are RF? FYI.. Michelin calls it Zero Pressure.
We picked up our car today. We took it to Discount tire to purchase a road hazard warranty. This is a new tire and not in their system. So the guy at DT has to call the Michelin tech line to see if they were run-flat. He was told they were not. You can confirm it here... Not sure what to do about it. RF's were supposed to be standard with the upgraded wheels, but this new tire does not seem to be RF. We're going to talk to the dealership about it.
Maybe the link below is not accurate info???? But the only size that fits the Mini (205/45/R17) does not show it is a ZP tire.

Yes, Primacy 3 x-green is the complete name on my tires. I had assumed it was run flat based on some discussions with MAs. Thanks for the information.

UPDATE: Mini agrees this is not a RFT and they offered us the choice to swap them out for RFTs. But we elected to keep the non-RFT. Not sure why they picked this tire or if they are going to stop including it since all tires above the standard tire are supposed to be RFTs.

My Canadian (L838A), but hot climate? (S823A) [there's nothing hot about Winnipeg], 2015 Cooper 3-cyl with sports suspension, build date of August 1, 2014, with 16" Victory Spoke rims, came with tires marked Perelli Cinturato P7. There is more than one Cinterato P7...let me check again., they do not say "blue", they do say all season.
Look how they shine!

Michelin Green X. I had them in the mountains yesterday and thought they felt pretty good. If these are made specifically for MINI, hope that's a good sign performance-wise. Be interesting to see if future MINIs come mostly with these.
So to summarize, the totals of these posts is:
Hankook - 7
Pirelli - 5
Michelin - 3
Continentals - 2
Dunlop - 2
So, of course, this tiny cross sample has no real meaning, except to show there are at least 5 manufacturers of tires getting on new MINIs. I'm wondering if there's any significant difference in what tires go on European MINIs.
Congratulation, Lawnmower, your favorite tire is in the lead!

According to the reviews, the Pirellis are the best tires provided by Mini in terms of RFs anyways.
Thanks Squirty for pointing that out. I had never heard of Hankook before I got on this forum. Don't know if it's fair to take cheap shots at Asian tires, but I had 6 new Chinese tires on a used RV I bought 3 years ago, and only one is left, and it's not because I wore them out. They only had a few thousand miles on them before they blew out or flatted and couldn't be repaired. Maybe it's emotional or just my ignorance, but I feel better knowing I have a tried and true American or European brand name on my vehicles.

Korean Hankooks are reputable tires and now one of the largest tire manufacturers in the world. BMW, Mini, Ford, Toyota, Hyundai and Kia all use Hankooks in their OEM packages. Chinese Brand = Junk
The new Hankook Ventus Prime 2s found on the Mini is also being used on the BMW 1 series. With that said, I still feel like they ride rough, but I've never driven on RFs before so that might just be all RFs are this way.
Here's another article about Hankooks.

HANKOOK is a Korean company AFAIK. It looks like they have manufacturing in other countries. The tires on our car were made in Hungary.
Went by the dealers yesterday to see my car that had just come in, while there i studied the tires on the 2015s and they seem to be split pretty evenly between the P7s and the Hankooks mine happened to have the Pirelli tires on them which is what i wanted, perhaps the start of some very good karma with the car after so long a wait.
Thanks again Squirty for getting me up to speed. I only buy a car every 10 years or so, so I'm way behind the curve. So I can continue to despise Chinese tires but have new respect for Korean tires. I assume they're politically correct SOUTH Korean tires!
Look for a rectangular marking with "HRS" in it. That stands for Hankook Runflat System.
Coming from my previous car (2013 Subaru BRZ, lowered on 18" Toyo's), the Hankook RF's are a dream.
Hankook Optimo 17" all-season run flats on a 2015 F56 MCS (with specific instructions that I wanted a performance tire rather than a general tire — buzzt!) At least it is Made in Hungary (according to the sidewall).
