F56 Cooper S Engine Codes (B46 vs B48)
I'm confused!
On Real OEM and on ETK, there seem to be two engine codes for the F56 Cooper S. Either B46 or B48?
My understanding has always been that the F56 Cooper S uses the B48?
I have also seen mention of the B46 engine on some Motoring File articles, but with no explanation for the change of engine code?
Does anyone know why there are differences?

The 2015 MINI Cooper S 2 and 4-door Hardtops feature a new 4-cylinder engine, designation B46.
It is the SULEV (super ultra-low emissions vehicle) version of the B48 4-cylinder 2.0-liter engine from the 2014 MINI Cooper S Hardtop.
The B46 is rated at 189hp and 207 lb-ft. torque, the same as the B48.
