Ordered a dash cam system (front and rear cams) for my 2022 JCW. Installation was a breeze with very clear instructions and it's as close to OEM as I've seen.
Very impressed so far and I'll probably order again for my Porsche.
Ordered from:fitcamx They have several options depending on the equipment level of your MINI. Power is from the rain sensor and it's a plug n' play adapter; so no cutting or splicing of wires and totally reversible.
Here's a few pics of the install. Before
Case comes off pretty easily with the supplied trim tool.
Pulling off the door seal makes it much easier to tuck away the cable for the rear camera.
I only needed the trim tool they include with the kit.
Rear camera (looks much bigger in this close up!) attaches with some 3M tape and a couple of self tapping screws into the headliner fabric.
That's the actual size of the rear camera.

Great installation photos. I ordered a front Fitcmax cam for our 2017 Clubman S. It's an easy installation... follow the instructions, download the app. The video quality is fine, however, I am having an audio recording issue at the moment. I'm not sure if it's the software or the cam, but at this point, I'd much rather have operational video. (Frankly, I'm not sure I want to hear the drama of an accident).
Thank you so much for the tip and the photos. I've been thinking about putting in cameras (front and back) for my F56, but since I'm not handy, I've always been afraid of the difficulty in installation. Things tend to end up more challenging than I expect, with just about everything in life. Since you said the installation is easy, I'm going to look into this.
