F55/F56 F56 Oxford Ordering?
#26
Not sure if this helps, but when I ordered my '22 S my dealer changed an existing allocation for stock to get me the car I wanted. The car was already in the queue, they just changed the colors and options to match my build. Your dealer should be able to do the same for an Oxford Edition.

My dealer called me yesterday saying that they should be able to get one, but instead of expected July delivery it would be expected in August. I honestly was not expecting July delivery since we're already near June, so that I can live with. Let's hope they pull through. If it gets delayed much beyond August I may say to forget it and get my money back. I hate to get it and then soon after put it away for the winter.

Since this car is just for fun it's going to be parked during our Michigan winters to avoid snow/salt so I'd really like to take delivery in early August so that I can enjoy it for a few months before putting it away for the winter.

Did your build sheet include your production number? I received a build sheet from my dealer within a few days of placing my order but it didn't have the production number - too early in the process, apparently. If your build sheet included the production number, I'm hoping that I will get mine in the next few days since you and I are on similar timelines.

What does Status 112 mean?
What matters is if you have a production number or not. Nothing happens on building your car until you have a production number.
When I put the order in 4/19 I wasn't given a production number it took 3 weeks to get a production number.
On 5/11, I got my production number from the MA, he took a pic of his computer screen which said: "Status 150 - Production Started."
It sat in that state for two weeks before they started to assemble anything. Once that happened, it quickly moved through the steps on the Track My Mini website (like a week), and now my order is now "At The Port" waiting to be assigned to a vessel.
I like the idea that Mini allows you to track the order on the website, but you still have to call them directly to get more detail. I'm waiting until my status says "In Transit" so I can call them and get the vessel name and then track elsewhere...They just don't have an integrated tracking system as it can be, it isn't that hard actually with scanners and barcodes. "We have the technology..." Better than nothing I suppose.

I imagine that a lot of that flexibility has to do with your selling dealer as well, or even your specific MA. I did the deal with the GM of my dealership; he might be more well-versed with the ins and outs of the process than most, or he's just exceptionally accommodating.

When I was doing research I had a few emails out to several dealers. Some dealers tried to talk me out of working with my local dealer. I thought that was really strange, and seemed like a bad practice. They tried to tell me that they can order what they want and it is strange that my dealer couldn't get me a production number right away. I stopped dealing with those guys real quick. Happy with my local dealer now with that perspective.

Did you try calling (866) 275-6464 (ASK-MINI)?
Say: "vehicle production status"
Say <your Production Number>.
It will start out as an automated system. Then after they give you the basic info, ask for "customer relations" then you get to talk to a real person and ask for a more detailed status.
