Self-Fixing Drivetrain Malfunction?

Wow, this is my first post here in several years... I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their mini's! Anyway...

I was 1 hour into a 5 hour road trip when I went to pass a tractor trailer. As I passed the truck, I accidentally let the the rev limiter bounce twice before I noticed and shifted into 6th. All of a sudden: Drivetrain Malfunction, Drive Moderately. At 60mph, i couldn't give the car more gas without the engine stuttering so I pulled over immediately and restarted the car. The CEL remained lit but the malfunction was physically gone. I resumed my drive at normal speeds and after my second pit stop 4 hours later, the CEL cleared. I wish I had my OBDII to see what it was but now im afraid to drive my car hard. I don't normally bounce it off the rev limiter but I was focused on passing the truck and wasn't listening as well as I should. Anyone else had this problem/have any advice?

I had this issue a few months ago. I was going up the rev range on the highway until the car shuddered and went into a limp mode. What fixed it for me was replacing my spark plugs. I would go to a parts store to get it scanned for free to make sure.

Thanks, I replaced them 5k miles ago. I will def get a scan and see if theres any codes left over but as of now it's running and driving fine and the CEL self-cleared.

She just threw a P1033 - Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow Response, might be related to the aforementioned problem. Anyone know how much a replacement costs/ have similar problems?
