My first thought was that the car was repaired from accident damage and they cheaped out on repair parts. You might want to dig deeper unless you know why they were broken.

I don’t think a body shop had the car, the paint looks original and there is some heavy and deep scratches under the bumper on the passenger side.
my guess is the car hit a big speed bump and snapped the lower mounting point on the headlight assembly.

the bumper gap is slightly off on the passenger side. But who knows
