Incandescent headlamp bulbs?

Hi folks. I installed new 9003 bulbs from NAPA in my wife’s F55. I love the color temperature, but not the headlights barely throw any light on the road on low beam. High beam illumination is normal. Premium headlight bulbs cost more than pocket change, and I want to make the right choice next time. My experience with S. Silverstar bulbs has been fair, with excellent light quality, but short bulb life. I purchased the NAPA product for the three-year unconditional warranty.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a longer-life premium Halogen bulb? Is there a reputable manufacturer of a hassle-free plug-and-play LED 9003 replacement? Will I have to go back to OEM?

cheers.

I've had good luck with Philips X-Treme bulbs - about the same as Sylvania but a much longer life.
I buy them here: https://store.candlepower.com/h4hb29003bulbs.html
I'm tempted to try the Vosla H4 next time I need bulbs.
You might also check the alignment - bring the low beam up just a little bit.

Thanks for the feedback! Regarding alignment, the only thing I changed were the bulbs; in my experience, this has never affected headlight aim. I was tempted to adjust them, but without a headlight adjustment tool (they existed when I was a licensed motor vehicle inspector, but back then all cars had sealed-beams) I thought I would really screw up the OEM spec. I suspect, (obviously I’m not an engineer) that my aftermarket purchase has the filaments themselves mounted in a different spot within the bulb capsule, resulting in the beam being “focused” at a different point on the road. I will try the Philips product, and thanks again for your input.

You're correct - decent quality bulbs will have the filament in the correct place - headlight alignment should not be affected.
You don't really need a headlight adjustment gauge. On the back of each headlight, you'll see two largish screws; one is for left/right adjustment & one for up/down.
Just point the car at a garage door or brick wall about 25' away & make sure the 2 low beam patterns are level with each other.
Then adjust the up/down screws on both UP a small amount - one brick.
