As promised, here are pics of the new 2020 2-door hardtop picked up 3 weeks ago, still going through the manual since my previous was 2010, so everything is new. Even got it's first recall (Crash pads may not have been installed in the rear side trim panels.)
Mentioned before, 7-speed and dual-clutch automatic are the big differences from 2019 to 2020. Then the British race green is softer and not as metallic as before.
How's the DCT? And are the "justas" is 7-speed DCT standard? I'm not sure if I like the change to the BRG, but it still is a nice color. For some reason, I rarely see the "exotic" colors around here.
I bought mine (2019 MCS) about a month ago and I'm still far parking away from everyone!
Lovely looking car, congrats! I can attest to a couple of the questions above as I am an inventory/lot tech for a MINI location. To me the DCT allows a much smoother transition at lower speed between shifts. At higher speeds it seems much the same to me, but on upshifts it seems to be a bit smoother when you get going. The DCT is standard on the F56/F55/F57 Cooper, and the Sport DCT is standard on the F56/F55/F57 Cooper S.
The new mirror caps are, from what I have seen, not retrofittable to older cars as it isn't the same housing for the cap as before. So they will not fit older cars, nor will pre-2020 mirror caps fit a new car.
