Seattle area Mini mechanics

Hi All,

I’m planning to do some mods for my F56 Mini base Cooper.

I already have a Dinan emc tuner. Now planning to add air intake and update the exhaust.

Can folks recommend:
1) A good Seattle area mechanic?
2) good air intake and exhaust options

My mini is a f56 2014 base hardtop manual.

thanks
deepak

Don't know any Seattle mechanics. sorry

OEM air intake is the best option and you have it already for zero Dollars.

Spend that money on a rear sway bar if you haven't already upgraded that. You will be able to drive faster through the corners and avoid pot holes easier.

The stock air intake is pretty great, but I've heard some decent things for the Eventuri intake ($$$). As far as exhaust goes, I sported an unresonated Remus catback for a while and it was pretty great with the valves open. I still have it, but it changed pretty drastically after I fitted a catless downpipe, but still sounds fantastic. Can't go wrong with the Remus.

Kurt aka Mod Mini is closed for the summer. He'll open up again later this year. Intakes are super easy and take 30 minutes at most but like Mooch said, save your money on the intake. Pretty much any muffler shop can do exhausts for you. Airport Welding in Snohomish is a great shop and I've worked with Rick on a couple projects. Randy's Custom Exhaust did me a big favor and also does great work but he's up in Arlington. There's also MiniFix. I haven't used his services but he's got a really good reputation within the Puget Sound Mini Club.
