Exhaust

Question

What's the diameter on S vs JCW vs Pro kit exhaust?

been shopping for exhaust for my JCW but most after market exhaust are 70mm which I believe the JCW is at 70mm. Feel not much gain is going to happen.

I wonder if I should just do a resonator delete. And get a muffler.
Tho Alot of the after market muffler only fits Cooper S tubing.

If you have a JCW and you did aftermarket exhaust, what's your setup?

The JCW exhaust is 2.75" diameter. Although I liked the stock exhaust, II decided to go the Remus route and have not regretted it at all. I have the bluetooth option, but keep it in the fully open mode ... love the sound and no drone at all on the highway. Does it add power, supposedly a little bit. Even so, it does add responsiveness ... it totally changed the nature of the car. It was fun before; it's riot now! Not cheap, but well worth the money.

Remus is one option I'm looking into, I believe it is still a 2.75 tubing. Does it have the resonator in the mid pipe? The version I would go for is straight mid pipe without the electric dampering, as I feel I would keep it at 100% open like you.

Yes and no ...

You can get a mid with a resonator in or not. I chose the not version and love it as well. I have a miltek DP so no cats on the car. I keep the valve at 50% because 100% open is really loud, especially around the 4-5k range, like embarrassingly loud.

It is 2.75" diameter. Mine does not have the mid-pipe resonator. I do have the Bluetooth controlled flap, which has come in handy a few times. It really quietens it down a lot. Still, I almost always keep it in the 100% open mode.
