Does anyone know the composition of the OEM brake pads? I thought they were metallic or partially metallic, but the wheel cleaner that turns red when reacting to the metal particles never turns red.

I'm getting close to needing new rear pads and figured I start the research early.

 

The brembo pads on the JCW are definitely semi metallic. I use Sonax Wheel Cleaner Plus and it turns crazy purple everywhere. Whatever is on the back dusts less, but also turns it purple.
