Bolster wear S

The side of the bolster on our S F56 hardtop has developed a wear hole
on the entrance side of side of the driver's bolster.
Only 17k miles.
Anyone have the same problem?
Solution?

6K miles, mines showing wear.
Lower and side.
Does that mean I need to lose weight!!

Obviously weight and technique play a big part in seat wear. Also short trips mean you get in and out a lot more than long highway runs. I'd swing by an upholstery shop and see what they can do.

I've got 13K on my car, 6K prior owner and 7K mine. Seats are in fine shape, first owner did however trash the tires from under-inflation, can't win em all.

After nearly six decades of climbing in and out of the drivers seat I have learned that the potential of damaging your side bolster is increased greatly by your apparel. I no longer get behind the wheel with a wallet in my back pocket...they are particularly hard on the bolster. Remove buttons from the back pockets...they leave nice slash marks on the bolster. If your jeans have zipper closures on the back pockets or rivets on the pants or belt you are going to damage the seats! Now I am not encouraging you to drive buck naked as there are a few states where this is frowned upon...or so I am told.
