2016 Hatchback headlight socket
My passenger side headlight went out, both high and low beams. So I unscrewed the cap on the back of the housing and tried to pull the wiring socket... to find that he had completely disintegrated. It had a strong electrical burning smell and the wires were completely loose with a good amount of insulation exposed.
Long story short, the car's wiring harness/socket for the passenger headlight needs to be replaced.
I've been looking on different Mini parts sales sites like partsgeek, also on amazon, I see H4 wiring replacement plugs/wires but haven't seen anything that says it is 100% compatible with my Mini. Have any of you had to replace this part and know how to do it?

Mini dealership said if I had less than 50k miles on it they could warranty it but I've got 60k. I talked to their parts department who said the only thing they could sell me is the full wiring harness for that light, not just the socket and wires. This explains why I couldn't find anything mini-specific that wasn't a full wiring harness. I'm probably just going to buy another H4 adapter with 6" pigtail and splice it on. What a pain, haha. Dang.

bought an H4 crappy wiring harness off of amazon and pulled out one of the terminals with wire and soldered it (after cutting away charred wire and stripping back) to the existing wire. Only one terminal turned out to be messed up / melted off. Car is now working fine.
