Hello everyone, I recently acquired a 2017 F56 from a salvage yard. I am fixing her up so she is street worthy and gorgeous again. I am almost done, but the wonderful individual that tried to "fix up" the vehicle decided to chop off a wire and sensor leaving me clueless as to what it belongs to. I took a picture of the sensor on another 2017 mini so I could ask you all for some help as to what it does and possibly if someone could give me a part number to the sensor and the connector. All I have now is some loose wires (green and brown). Thank you guys.

 

Do you have a local Mini dealer close by? A picture and peak under the hood and a discussion w/ the service manager will save you a lot of time.

 

Looks like a crash sensor, but those are orange or a different color. Can you take a picture of it from the side?
