I have a 2015 F55 Cooper (non-S) Hardtop (4dr) and I was cleaning out the interior the other day and found this small black part on the floor of the car. I can't figure out where it belongs. It does have some markings, including what I assumed was a part number, but my Google-fu is failing. Can you help me identify where it goes? I've embedded pictures below. Also, in case it's not totally visible, the underside of the part has this imprinted:
PC/ABS
2
1024220
The latter number I thought might be a part number.
Thank you so much!

That looks like the button for the auto transmission shifter.
Hmmm, ok - well, the car is definitely an automatic. I don't see anything missing around the shifter itself, however. Anywhere specifically I should be looking? Thank you!
Yes, it does look like it could be the "button" you press to move the automatic shifter. Since your shifter works fine, it might have been left there as an accident/extra from Oxford.

Any chance you still have this part?!
I know it's a long shot 2 years later, but mine broke the other day (the retaining tab at the bottom broke off) and I can't seem to find this part available on it's own, as it only seems to come as part of the complete shift **** assembly.
If you do have it... I'd happily purchase it from you!
