Ordering f56 cooper s help

I'll be ordering a f56 s, electric blue, fully loaded with stripes blah blah but the end price is 35,500. I would never spend that much but Starbucks pays for school so why not lol would've spent it there anyways. Now since I'm going to be ordering my mini i heard the wiggle room for discounts were low but I also heard about the true dealer invoice etc. Do you think the car being fully loaded that I'll get a better deal? and how should i go about haggling

Well, you now have that as the high-point of the cost for the car you want. Now print that up and take it to a dealership to see what in-stock cars they have that can closely match what you want. You'll always get a better deal on one off the lot. Decide what add-ons are a must and which maybe you could live without, for example the backup camera, sunroof, etc.

Secondly, search the inventory of multiple dealers in your area or state. In my case, both dealers had the EXACT same F56-S that I wanted with all the features and color and the same price. I pinned the two dealers against each other knowing I was considering both cars in order to get a lower price. In the end, the one dealer offers me a vehicle that was about 4-5k more expensive with features (sunroof, Nav., LED Lights, Harmon Audio, etc) but for the same price as the cheaper one I was looking at, just to win my sale.

The best way to haggle is to ask a dealer to beat a deal you have from another dealer. You can develop deals by negotiating by email or phone with dealers near and far. Dealers have told me that the lowest pricing is on Minis in stock rather than on ordered cars (some option flexibility is usually needed here). Looking around should save you money. The best deals of all are on new 2015's. There are still some around. Happy hunting.

A friend of mine just got $4,000+ off on a 2015 4 door S. I've noticed in and around the Tennessee area (200 mile radius) that bigger discounts appear on the "S" models vs. base. He found one in stock that had 90% of what he wanted. What prompted the good deal locally was a price he got from a dealer over 200 miles away. God bless the internet.

I just used the following process when I ordered a 2016 JCW:

1 - price build on configurator
2 - called all dealers within 150 mile radius
3 - one or more dealers will "need" the sale more than others. Some will say, "we don't discount online orders"
4 - once you get the best deal with dealer, just before deciding, ask to have extended warranty, rim insurance, etc thrown in on top of deal

If you've bought from a dealership before, some dealers offer $500 to $1000 loyalty bonus as well. If they don't provide that up front, ask about it AFTER you have their best price

Good luck!

This is essentially what I did on my wife's F54 Clubman All4. I contacted 5 dealers, 4 quoted me under MSRP. 3 were within $1k of invoice (per cars.com invoice price). I was up front telling them that whoever gave me the best out the door price got my business. Easy peasy.
