Another JCW Tuning Kit Problem

I have only had the kit a few weeks. My problem is opposite of most. Mine is stuck in the open position. I will be bringing back to the dealer, but didn't know if anyone else has had this issue, and what the cause was.

Well I went to the dealer this morning and here is what went down. Not much.

Mine was only the second F56 Tuning Kit/exhaust they've seen and nothing in their database indicated a problem. Right now, they replaced the battery in the remote and so far it's working and I'm going to keep testing it. Both me and the dealer (and head tech) agreed that it was not wise to just start doing exploratory troubleshooting since this was more of a "annoyance" as opposed to an "urgent fix."

The tech did pose one theory that I also thought about, could mini have set it up so that if there's too much starting and stopping, the valves close since the "track mode is only for the track?" I just can't understand why the valve stays open during freeway drives and long stretches but -- at least for me -- only seems to close on its own when I'm in stop and go street traffic. Again, just a theory.

Went to the dealer today, they said one of the wires between the valve and the module grounded out. It must have rubbed through somewhere. They ran new wires and it closed the valve, but when it shorted it must have fried the module, so new module on order, should be in beginning of next week.

I love this kit, and can't wait for the valve to be working again!

Car is all fixed. New harness for exhaust, new module, new remote. Working great again! Love this exhaust.
