2 way USB cord

Is there something out there that will enable me to have my android phone plugged in so I can use MINI connected and also have my USB thumb drive plugged in for my music at the same time?

At the moment I have to unplug the thumb drive if I want to use connected, and vice versa. Getting your hand in that small space is a pain and I'm worried I'll break the USB slot with repeated use.
Also the phone won't charge via USB so I have to use the cigarette socket charger for that, which means lots of wires behind the gear stick.

Just wondering what your solutions have been for people who don't have an iPhone or snap in adapter...
Is there a cheap 2 way USB cord out there? Has anyone tried one and does it work OK with a thumb drive and connected? Thanks!

It sounds like you want to use a hub, or something that emulates a hub, to plug 2 items into the USB port at the same time. And I'm thinking that this probably won't work.

MINI Connect doesn't work over bluetooth, does it? Because that would solve your problem, if it did.

If the tight space is the issue, you can buy USB extender cables, and leave that plugged into the car's USB port.

Good luck with your issue. Let us know if you figure out a better solution.

Thanks for the response carman.
Yeah, MINI connect only works via USB unfortunately, at least on my HTC One M8.

I could put my music on the hard drive I suppose which would eliminate the problem.
How long would the transfer of 20 gigs worth of music take?

Either way, if anyone has a hub that works, let me know!

I didn't have any luck using a hub with the base radio, but it may be different with the Nav.

It would detect both devices and then stop using them.

If you have the connection in the armrest, you may be able to connect two.

I've found that I can fill my harddrive with MP3 music in 5 minutes or less when loading from a full flash drive
