It needs to be replaced on my 2014 MCS. I imagine the location is similar on all year models. Hate to see a major dismantle to get to it.

 

Out of curiousity...why?

I believe it's under the center console, in between the two seats.

 

The ACSM has been giving out false error indications. The service department will be replacing it under warranty. I've heard some other car makers have it hide up inside the dash, where you'll need to dismantle it to get to the part. I'm hoping this isn't the case...may loosen things up and create dash noises/rattles later. The service rep hasn't yet given me an idea where it is or how long it would take to replace.

 

So... if it's inside the dash, you're going to refuse to let them repair it?

 

I'll have them replace it, but I wont be cheering about it.
