Windshield Protection Package

I opted to get the Windshield Protection Package and they advised me that the put a substance on the windshield that helps protect it, reduce glare, deflect objects (rocks) better, and help water roll off. I almost feel like it was a scam.. Does anyone know exactly what they do to the windshield if anything at all? Lol

The very first chip or even a tiny sand pit I'd have that back to them for a new piece of glass if they guaranteed it for you. For $800 they should be able to afford a couple of windscreen replacements. A couple of years ago a guy down in Arizona was promoting his magical mystery formula guaranteed to protect glass from even a BB shot at close range, the product was 20 or 30 bucks so gave it a try. I'd just had the windscreen replaced after a huge rock and applied this elixir. Within a couple of weeks you could begin to see the tiny pits starting to spread. There ain't nuthin' will protect glass from a 60+ MPH projectile of any size I recon.

I would just invest in Adam's Polishes Glass Sealant. Of course it's not as extensive, but it does wonders!

Most insurers offer at least $100.00 deductible and it's well worth it.
