Just realized MINI configurator now offers standard seats in the F56S and JCW, but still not offered in the F55S. Guess my 5'1 wife isn't the only one that didn't fit in the sport seats.

 

My MA advises that the only way to get non-sport seats on a F56 S Hardtop is for the dealer to delete the sport seats when ordering the car. Then the car will come with the standard, non-sport seats -- but only in leatherette. No other upholstery choice is available. Very pathetic in my view.

 

So some like the non-Sport seats better than the Sport seats?

This is like the center arm-rest situation. I didn't like the center arm rest at all. I'm glad mine doesn't have it since I only added the Sports Package.

 

Don't get me wrong. The sport seats are great. In my case, they didn't fit my wife right, and we both need to be comfortable when driving. The front of the seat was past her knee bend, and the side bolsters pushed her arms forward.

 

Love the sport seats and those new JCW Recaros. Does take some time to get used to as they really hold you in.

 

I have an F56 non S, and I love the non sport seats in looks and in comfort.
