F55/F56 "justa"
No need to delete it. The phrase came up because it's hard to differentiate since if you call it a Cooper you could be describing either model.
That's why I call it F56 and not F56S. "Justa" just sounds weird to me and I'll probably not use that word.
I don't think you can delete a thread, but no need to.

I've always referred to them as either "Cooper" and "Cooper S" or as dealers do, "non-S" and "S".
I borderline think "Justa" is derogatory... It makes it sound like the Coopers are not that good, but I think the Coopers, especially the 3-cyl ones, are brilliant! Just a matter of taste, really.

That sound too! I must say I like the sound of the actual engine of the 3-cylinder over the 4. It's got a great growl to it
Totally agree - sounds very pejorative. And one of those terms that is mildly cute the first time you hear it, but is just annoying after a million times. Like "half fast" jokes.
Justa
Get over it.
My "justa" will soon be a "what the...." when it gets tuned and the Quicksilver pipe added.

Then there will be some of us referring to the "justa" and the "non Justa" hehe
And let's face it, a lot of us prefer a pretty face with their personality
There ain't no "just a" about this gen of Cooper!

Depends on what you want as well. I had an "S" which I enjoyed for 5 years. Now I have a F56, non-"S". I really had no need for the extra power and engine noise piped into the car. 90% of my travel is on roads 25mph-45mph, and at "highway" speeds, the car performs very well. 75 mph is the same in both cars, I do not need the extra power entering the ramp. Our car is perfect for us, and I like the "face" without the hood scoop and lower bumper treatment on the "S".

I went from a CVT Justa Cabrio to an R56 S 6 speed to a Countryman All4 6 speed and now Justa automatic. From terrible to lots of fun to "just" another car and now back to lots of fun.
I used to feel "Justa" was derogatory, but this one has made me see the light. Definitely a lot of fun and much better than the MAXI.

I guess it's pretty much up to the individual. I have a '13 Justa and I occasionally allow myself to feel a little aloof to other Mini owners knowing that I have the last n/a engine sold by Mini.
I am on my third MINI, and all of them have been non-S (Justa). I've never had a problem or felt that I wished I had bought an S. My current car is a 2012 non-S Countryman. It has 62,500 miles and has been rock solid reliable.
My brother has a 2013 Countryman S. He's always quick to point out "mine is faster" and I'm always quick to point out that I don't have carbon build up, timing chain tensioner, high pressure fuel pump, or turbo oil line problems.
