Meet Buzz

Meet Buzz. He is a 2014 Cooper 6 speed dressed in Moonwalk Gray on the double stripe carbon seats. He comes equipped with the 17inch cosmos black wheels, loaded package (media and premium), sport package, cold weather package, JCW interior package, chrome line exterior & LED fogs to match the beautiful LED headlights. I came from a 2011 VW GTI and couldn't be happier. What a hoot Buzz is to drive!

Awesome look! I've had my F56S for 1 month now and still look for any excuse to drive it. BTW, great photo as well. I like the background.

Nice car! Could you be so kind as to post interior pics? I don't think I've yet seen one with the JCW interior package with the double stripe cloth seats. That package is a great value at 600 dollars (400 on the MCS!!) and I'm wondering if I should chose it over the Black pearl tweed type seats to save some $$ Thanks!

Nice shots on your flickr, liking that interior.

How would you compare power wise and handling to your MK6?

I'm thinking of basically the same spec "Justa" minus a few of your options to replace my 05 WRX Wagon.

Thanks for the compliments! I was sold on the tweed seats because clearly they are awesome. When speccing my car out I really wanted the black headliner. For the extra few dollars I decided the JCW package was worth it over just the headlined because I could have the double stripe seats. I like them because they are a lot darker than the tweed ones and also they are going to be more rare because you can only get them with the JCW package

Usually I go for the higher trim specced cars like the GTI/GLI. I did drive an S model Cooper in auto as well. I don't know why but I fell in love with 3 cylinder/6 speed standard Cooper. Power wise, it's definitely shy of the GTI but handling is far superior. I don't mind the minor sacrifice in power because frankly I don't need it. The Cooper has more than enough and is extremely fun to drive. I would rather have a more fun + 20% better mpg's than the 65 more horsepower in the GTI

You did a great job of outfitting your car. It's beautiful.

I just ordered a 3 cylinder f56 as well. I totally agree with you that this little car is a blast to drive and it has plenty of power. I went for all the options. I don't think that buying a high milage car necessarily means a cheap car. I can't wait for mine to get here.

You know what they say, it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slowly! (Even though 0-60 in 7.3 seconds is NOT by any means slow) I feel the same way, i'd probably never consider a base Golf, it'd be GTI for me all day. But with the MINI, the Justa is the one i'd want. I'd imagine once the tuning scene opens up a bit they'll bring the Justa up to MCS power levels just with a simple ECU remap anyway. I think BMW is saying their new 3 cyls are good for 100 hp per cylinder! And don't forget that noise... A beefier exhaust and it'd sound like a proper little beast!

Edit: and thanks for the interior shots! I think you may have just swayed me away from the tweeds!

Beautiful car, this is the first time I've seen any decent picture of Moonwalk Grey. It looks almost blue in several of the photos.

The JCW seats also look awesome! First time I've seen those in pictures also How do you like them?

Great photos! That moonwalk grey looks very sharp. I know what you mean about fun driving, I've only let my husband drive mine once and we picked her up a few weeks ago now.

I'm picking my Deep Blue Justa up at the dealer tomorrow. Trading in my 2006 S ragtop with 110,000 miles. Very impressed with the base model. Has more guts than my present S model and handles a lot better. I'm outfitted pretty much the way your Mini is. I jumped on the JCW package also and added the JCW side stripes. I'll post some pix when I can.

Congratulations on your purchase! So I'm curious since this is my first MINI, and one which I plan on enjoying for a LONG time... what were your impressions of your 2006? Any reliability / temperment issues through your ownership? As a new MINI owner I've heard that these cars sometimes require patience and TLC, but the number of owners with high mileage is admirable, and maybe the reliability woes are overblown. Your opinion would be appreciated.

Nice choice iDan. I didn't test drive the Justa manual but my MA said it drove just about the same as my R56 MCS which was great. In the past only 1/3 of US buyers chose the Justa, but he thought at least half would now. I agree, my JCW has more power than I really need although it's a gas at times. It gets worse mileage in town, about 26 mpg whereas my MCS got about 29. I bet your car gets excellent gas mileage. I think I would have loved the F56.

Some of the best photographs yet - very nice! Another F56 Cooper purchaser here - coming from a tuned GTI (stage 1+). Also used to buying the S versions of previous cars until the day of my base Cooper test drive ..... the lil turbo is a wonder of an engine. And just can't wait till I can throw a sportier exhaust on
The Cooper is bound for cult status!

I have no complaints about the reliability of my 2006 S Mini. I drove it like I stole it on a daily basis.Over all these years I had to replace a thermostat and I punctured a oil pan early on causing a leak. Otherwise it was spot on. It's starting to burn a little oil now but I would have kept it if not for the F56. My R53 is BRG and I live in Philly. My license plate is MINI EGL surrounded by an Eagles license frame.I had Eagles decals on the back side windows and on the back of the rear headrests which you could see through the rear windows.I took it to every Eagles game for the last 9 years. It was treated like a celebrity and fans would hold a parking spot for the Mini just so I could tailgate with them. Really gonna miss that part but onward and upward! Can't wait to pick up the new one this morning! I smiled every time I got into my Mini and I'm sure that's not going to change.
