F55/F56 Received a nice surprise gift set from MINI yesterday.
I wonder if the case is coming from corporate, or from the dealers. I haven't received anything in the mail since I bought my car 6 weeks ago, though others on this forum have reported receiving various items.
Got a portfolio for the owner's manual, but no swag
Got a large padded envelope from Mini yesterday, but it only had a canvas pouch ("portfolio") to hold the owner's manual, which some others posted receiving recently. Still hoping that I (and my wife) will receive the welcome kit with the goodies soon.
My wife went out to get the mail yesterday and told me I received a package from MINI USA. I had no idea what it was. Anyone else receive this gift package yet?
I was very nicely surprised at the contents.
1. MINI International Magazine (published twice yearly)
2. MINI car flash drive
3. MINI antenna ball topper (which I refuse to use, LOL)
4. MINI pen
5. LET'S MOTOR band
6. MINI personal journal (hard cover) with bulldog engraved logo
7. MINI draw-string bag with bulldog logo
8. MINI paper clip
9. A Name Tag you print your MINI's name on and apply to side door jam
10. Fundamentals of Good Motoring booklet (neat)
MINI is one class act company IMO!

It changes over the years what MINI sends , so over time the swag bags change. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to get them after a purchase. Mine took a while back in 2005 and I did not get any of the items pictured , it was a different swag bag back then with MINI Bingo cards , playing cards , etc..
Here is the link to some swag, if you like.

I think it would be nicer if they'd pay more attention to the big stuff like stalling motors and transmissions that try to drive in two different gears at the same time.
Stuff's going to happen. It's how they handle it when something does happen is how I judge a company.
And the marketing / brand loyalty department that sends out this stuff are not the engineers you think should be keeping their eye on the ball.
Goodies
I forget how long it took for me to get my bag. Maybe a month or so. I buy a new vehicle every three years or so. Maybe in the past 10 years Ive never received anything similar to what Mini sent me. Actually nothing.
I remember my father buying cars in the sixties and seventies and there was at least a bottle of touch up paint in the glove box. I've never seen this since, from when I bought my first new vehicle.
Regardless of what problems some people have with their Minis I'd have to say, Mini doesn't have to send these things out. They also have the lost and found give-aways. I think it says a great deal about a company that sends something to their customers.

Dice
I got my swag today but instead of the white antena ball topper, there was a white non furry dice but it has no string to hang from rear view mirror. Anybody else got this? I want the ball to mount on the antena.
EDIT: FYI I took delivery on May 8. The swag arrived on June 29. So, ~7 weeks / 2 months from delivery to swag. YMMW. And I did NOT complete a dealer delivery survey. So it's not tied to that.

Took delivery June 2015
I took delivery 2015 MINI Cooper S Convertible, from MINI of Knoxville TN, May 28, 2015, can hardly get them to return my calls let alone supply either MINI corporate or local dealership swag bag of grab...
They do keep leaving voice mails asking that I give them rating of (10) "Because it's very, very important to them to get that perfect (10)... I've yet to get that grading document/form the sales girl mentioned to me as well when I picked up my MINI, at this point, I could care less, other than possibly pissing off their service dept. and having someone slow my servicing down or worse, due to giving them a less than (10) review :-/
