If that were true you would have a point, but it isn't true. That's how they're intended to fit. It's how they fit with every car.

i agree, whether the OP is "right" or "wrong" he can vent on the forums, that's part of what the forums are for, regardless of whether the forum is sponsored by a vendor that he is venting about. i think WMW could have for once waived the restocking fee, since they were obviously both going out on a limb here as to whether these would fit and look properly or not.

personally I've only had good experience with WMW, so I'm sure this will be resolved one way or another.

Then he should have stated so and perhaps post a picture up with the way it looks so that people can make an informed decision on what they are buying. Just because you like it doesn't mean everyone else will and a customer should be able to see what it is going to look like. I saw the picture the OP posted, and that looks like crap. Not sure on his model, but I have seen others that fit and look fine.

Argue all you want, I am done. Still siding with the OP on this one.

This is the kind of opinion tossing noise that made Aesthetic Creations pack up and leave. Most of the vendors that supply the needs of the MINI community are small one horse operations, not the big strip mall impersonal faceless all things to all people entities that could care less if one customer is unhappy with them. Way ain't Walmart and shouldn't be expected to operate like Walmart. Communicate politely with the guy and get problems resolved. Unrealistic expectations will always result in unhappiness.

This one is the response that makes the most sense to me. The old "a picture is worth a thousand words." Heck, I'll even offer the picture of my wheel, I posted in the original message, to WMW to post on their website to clarify what these look like on the car for the benefit of others. Free! No rights. No royalties. No restocking fees. If that picture, or one like it, were available when I was investigating these studs, this thread would not exist because I never would have ordered them in the first place.

It is definitely a good idea. I'm not going to pretend that when I ordered them for my R56 (not from Way) that I wasn't surprised when I saw how they fit. Luckily I was installing spacers anyway so it didn't matter.

Gotta love it when one miffs the boss duck of the puddle at the Vatican on this forum no matter the subject. There must be a more dignified approach to solving a minor issue rather than sitting at ones ipad in ones underwear instructing the world on the art of being a ******.

If they didn't actually fit, that would be one thing, but they did. The product itself was fine.
He wanted longer studs and nuts and that looks like what he got. They fit. I think Way correctly assumed he was using offset, otherwise why would he want longer ones. I number of us have used Way with satisfaction. 20% restock fee is customary.

I am in righteous ire at your irreverent reference to his Holiness, and I was not considering the dignity of the OP or many of the contributors until you summoned that unfortunate image and invoked that deleterious anglicized slang.

I think you have adequately grasped the spirit of the moment.

All the best,

Charlie

Really? Lmao!!!

OP, you got the wrong thing. Now you can try other vendors and ask them specifically what you need. Stuff happens. All of us got screwed at some point. Restocking fees aren't cool, but it's a small business it's not like he's a dealership where he can take the hit. If anything sell them on NAM or other websites and boom got all your money back.

Actually there is. The length of the stud is stated right there on Way's website. Don't you do any research before you spend your money?

I don't really have much to say here.

+1 for Way, customer lost the 20% restocking fee on a small time part and went online to trash Way.

Those of us who have experience w/ Way will keep using him, those who do their research will see Way has 99% positive feedback, and if this thread stays alive it'll actually be a positive for him rather than a negative (as intended by the OP).

To OP - Sorry man, it happens. Aftermarket parts fit differently than OEM in many ways and unless you have a buddy nearby w/the same part or do a TON of research, you won't know how it'll fit until you unbox it. DON'T get an aftermarket air intake my friend.

How much was the actual restocking fee?
Was it 200.00
Was it 20.00
Or maybe 12.35
Who knows, we've all pissed away that much at McDonalds.
I don't get the trashing the guy (Way), just let HIM know your not buying anything else from him and move on......the inter web grab as many unknown friends and get the larger side gathered movement is lame.

Just one mans opinion!

My faith in the good character of all NAM'ers is restored through the contrition of the sinners.

OK, that's probably enough of THAT rubbish!

I was just being a smart-*ss and seeking to lighten the mood a bit.

Peace all!

Well said...
Also of note....the page on waymotorworks says lugs not included.... And the choice of lugs will affect the look and fit....
The exact reason the op did not like the look is WHY some OEMS use lug bolts as opposed to lugnuts....
I ran a set of rims for winter tires....had a lug conversion...but had to use tuner lugs...first place I saw tuner lug bolts (small headed bolts), I bought them...uninstalled the conversion....and IMO it looked better.

Don't be a tease! Quote some, or share the link please.

I am too damned lazy to go hunting it.

Thanks,

I'd like to thank everyone for the kind words as we work very hard and I see how many customers realize that. Also you realized that our product did exactly what it said on our website. It did fit his car, and did extend 52mm from the hub. This is clearly written on our description. I'm sorry the customer didn't like the way it looked but that is how stud kits look as others posted pics.

So if someone wants a once installed stud kit we have one on sale as we won't sell it as new.
