F55/F56 Sidewall tollerance

Sidewall tollerance

It is very apparent that the difference between the tire sidewall and the wheel proximity is small. Thus the propensity for curb rash.
It would be helpful to see the differences in tire sidewall to rim measurement
in say
215 x 45 x 17
and the
205 x 45 x 17.
Perhaps we can prevent a little curb rash by increasing tire width/footprint?
Distance from rim to outside tire wall is:

Pirelli Cinturato P7 205x45x17 = 4.2

This can be easily measured by spanning the sidewalls with a straight edge and measuring the distance to
the edge of the rim.

I've run and do now run 215's. I think this helps the curb rash situation.
