iOS vs Android (Multimedia)

Has anyone else noticed the difference while connecting either a Android phone or iPhone via Bluetooth regarding music playback? While using an iPhone you have access to your playlists, ability to search all of your music, etc... When using a Android device all of those options don't exist? Maybe I'm missing something?

I noticed that as well. Though full control over my music is more important to me so I'm sticking with the iPhone.

though the androids and iphones have the same music features listed on the compatibility website

http://www.mini.com/connectivity/blu...=US&country=US

for the iphone 5s: "Playing audio tracks
At times, audio playback may not be heard. In this case please switch to a different audio source (i.e. radio) and back." And it doesnt say that for android

I can get it to play the audio but if I want to change the album I have to use the phone itself. Where as with the iPhone I have all sorts of options and I never have to pick the phone up.

if you look, not many supported Android phones and none have the Mini Connected feature in the specs either.

I have an android S4. And using the cable I have all the features...I can see the albums and change them and tracks and playlists...texts too.
Someone was telling me and I don't know if it is true..that when you connect using the armrest plug you can read emails too...

Actually

Actually there is a mini connected android app now. I don't think it's in its final state because it doesn't do as much as the iOS version.

I can't get mini connected to recognize the car. See the USB connection as a storage device...my phone was rooted..

Supposedly it is only "fully functional" with the S4 and the Nexus 4. They are a bit behind the times.

I have my HTC One XL running Cyanogen connected via Bluetooth, and I can have the system read my emails or texts. Its under Office -> Messages. I have not found a way to make it automatically read them when they arrive though.

Anyone using bluetooth to play music on their phone? I noticed the sound is quite low (need to turn it much higher) and not as good compared to the HD Radio or via USB cable.

Is the volume on your phone below maximum when trying this? See if that's the case.
