Will the R56 JCW shift **** fit?

I would like to purchase this shift **** for my manual F56:

http://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2008-C...B16A/ES253331/

Will this fit on the F56?

If so, will it also be compatible with Cravenspeed short shift kits?

Finally, how do we remove the F56 shift **** without ripping off the gear gaiter and driving mode selector?

Thanks in advance...

I have installed that shifter on my R56. Best to take out the consol. You have to pull the boot for the shifter off at the bottom and it is possible without taking the console off but if you make a mistake you can break something.
Addressing whether it will fit the F56 or not I would ask the OP of this tread.

He ordered a new shift **** for his car.... the manufacturer of that **** will know for sure.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I like that shift ****.

I'm interesting in finding out exactly how easy or difficult it is to change the shift ball. Is it something pretty much anyone can do?

Bob. Yep. There are threads for the R56. Easy but you need to know how. While I had mine of I made leather brake and gearshift boots. They look 500 times better than the vinyl ones do!

Now the real fun begins as we take possession and start to mod.
