Mini @ night

Wow...all I can say is wow... I just went down to my car in the dark because this stupid video is taking 5 hours to upload to youtube lol. It took me about 15 minutes to figure out all of the controls and set everything the way I want. Not complicated at all. But having said that there are LOTS of things to configure. The inside of the car at night is unbelievable with all of that lighting and its all configurable. And the LED headlights!!!!!!! brightest headlight I have ever had. Great upgrade...get them if you can. the head up display turns orange at night instead of white like during the day. Makes it really easy to see. I was concerned because the LED headlights are very white. But the orange head up is great. and once again let me say that the HK sound is VERY good. I have spent over 4k in audio in some of my cars in the past. This doesn't have the bass like those systems (I used to be able to shake the rearview) but it still sounds FANTASTIC. the bass is still very good and while the windows dont rattle, it sounds crisp and clear with no popping.
I was excited when I drive the car home in the day, but after sitting in it at night, I am going to be looking for excuses to do night time driving.

Great feedback - congratulations on your new car! We are hanging on every word and enjoying your discoveries with you. Can't wait for the video

PS- The you tube video link takes me to a page saying the video is private. Oh no!

Steve, did you find a way to keep the center display ring a single color? I couldn't, so I was forced to turn it off since I didn't want the light show. The other ambient lighting changes colors, but that is fine with me.

I agree that the LED headlights (and cornering lights) are awesome. Anybody who is on the fence should order at least the LED headlights.

yes you can choose the center to be the same as the mood lighting. I have mine set to do all of the action stuff but to switch back to mood light color after a second or 2

@CobraBob
You should be able to lock the ambient lighting to one color if you wish.
It drove me goofy changes all the time, so I locked it at green to kinda match the BRG II of my car.

I hear they have deleted the dome light. If so, is there adequate lighting in the back seat area?

Thanks...I just remember looking at all of the videos that were out there and wishing they had just been a bit longer and more detailed. I'm glad it helped answer some questions or at least gives a needed mini fix.

You should just tour the country and do reviews on different folks' MINIs. I'd subscribe to that channel. Thanks again for the video.

Can you take a picture of the car at night from the outside and inside?

Great walk through and thanks for taking the time to share. Can't wait to get mine delivered sometime in June.

So, because you got the off-white dash, you got the door-panel light tubes too?
