How to reattach the side cover on the shift ****

2015 S Manual. The little shiny black cover on the side of the shift **** under your thumb (driver side) has popped off. I cannot see how to re-attach it short of some glue. Is there a trick to it?

Hello,

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=25_0554

Its part of the whole sifter **** and not on its own. My guess is it will have to be glued back. Do you have a picture?
