Motor mount

Car has developed a vibration felt in center armrest worse with ac on. Passenger side motor mount was replaced at 20k miles, car has 32k on it now. Is there another mount as bad as the passenger side one. This car is not driven hard, are the mounts made of peanut butter?

Thanks,

Joe

Our cars have 3 motor mounts, one on the upper passenger side, one one the transmission under the battery box and one under the car in the center of the engine.

Some of the early 3rd gen cars has issues with the lower mount which I believe that one has been resolved.

The passenger side one has lots of failures lately on the base and "S" models, I don't think the JCW is having as many issues even with the same part numbers. Interesting that this same mount is used on the BMW X1 and X2 but I haven't heard of them having problems like the MINI has.

When I bought my F56 I installed the PowerFlex insert on the lower mount, it made a big difference but added a little vibration due to the firmness. Recently replaced my upper passenger side mount and installed the PowerFlex inserts. I haven't noticed any more issues with the mount but did get a little more engine vibration at idle due to firmness, driving you can't notice it.
