Gen 3 Winter Storage
I know that I am a wee bit early but I wanted to get advice on Winter Storage for the Gen 3s.
With my 05 R53, I just filled it with gas, disconnected the battery, plugged the exhaust and covered the car. I did this for several years in Canadian Winters, stored in a garage without any re-starting problems.
Can I do the same with my F56? Or, if I disconnect the battery, will I be faced with error codes upon restarting and need to visit the Dealership.
I usually store the car from the end of October thru March (5 months).
Thanks for your advice.
Cheers.

I would put on a trickle charger to keep the battery fully charged, put a bunch of mouse traps under and around it and Sta-Bil in the tank.
I am not a mechanic so I will defer to others, however, I would think the charger would protect the battery and preserve the electronics.

Change the oil before parking it. Have a full tank of gas to keep out the condensation and make sure to put sta-bill in the gas tank. Put a trickle charger on the battery to keep a charge on it. Make sure to get a trickle charger for lead acid and AGM batteries so your covered.
