190302 code.

I keep getting a 190302 code. The mini hesitates when shifting from 2nd to 3rd (Manual Trans) after shifting into third it acts like I’m not giving it any gas and just wont go anywhere. Anyone else have this issue? My car is a ‘14 S F56 with 136,000 miles.

Tony,

I too have a mini s f56 2015 automatic. I have the code too. I have know for a while that I have had a fuel issue somewhere. I was told it was the high pressure fuel pump by the dealer, and to just drive it until it was dead. It sounds awful after a refuel-barely starts and struggles to hit the 1000 RPM mark.
Evens out over about 1 minute, and then everything is cool. I too have reduced power in the 2-4 RPM range, most notably in 1st and 3rd gear. I will let you know what I find.

I found this on my daughters car then seen the same issue on youtube.

Leaky hose at the back as shown in the video or purge solenoid failure near the top of the engine.

Dixie, are you saying your daughter's car had the leak in the same spot on the corrugation? If so, that would leak me to believe there is either a design flaw with the hose where there is more movement than expected with the hose causing a fatigue fracture or a manufacturing defect in the hose allowing the hose to crack at that corrugated rib. Would be interesting to compare VIN numbers to see if the two cars were close in production order (i.e.- same batch of vent hoses).

The 'fix' by the mechanic in the video worked, but I would have to wonder for how long. Melting plastic in general doesn't bode well in the long-term, as the mechanical properties of said plastic are no longer what they were. If there was enough cyclical stress on that rib to create that original leak, it will come back at some point. I would prefer a splice of new hose to go in, IMHO.

Thanx for sharing the video in any case, good info to know.
