Side window seals failing?

Our F56 has both rear side windows shedding something bristly at the join of window and body on the exterior of the car.

Dealer says "oh, we just cut that off when we see it"

Anyone see this on their car?

I had some of the fabric threads showing along the rear glass when I first got my car. I sliced it off with a razor. A year later, I noticed more of it has grown back.

Guess I'll have to be trimming more than my beard every few months.

Apparently, there is a cloth covering over the windows that is used during shipping. It is cut off at the port, but some of it gets left in the gap between the window and the trim. Just wait until you see some of the threads and carefully but firmly pull with tweezers. You'll find that a small strip of cloth, approximately 1/8" wide comes out, and problem solved. My dealer did it for me on one side and I did the other. It is not a seal and has no impact on the car at all.
