Hi all,

Does anyone have any problems with the air smell? I took my 2014 hardtop in 3 times, and currently it's in there again for this issue. They contacted mini USA twice about this and still no fix. 😡 I was thinking about lemoning my car, but not sure what the process is in Florida or if it's even worth it.. Help!

 

Probably the AC evaporator housing. Mini diagnosed it a month ago. Of course like everything else it is on backorder. As soon as I mentioned the smell they already knew what it was so it appears to be common.

 

I have my airconditioner automatically-turning-on feature disabled and I rarely ever use the airconditioner so I think there's almost no mold on mine. I normally run the fans only at 1-2 speed, automatic air quality mode. When I turn the fans off, and open the windows while driving, I can smell something pretty bad coming from the vents all the time. I don't know what that is though.

 

R56's had a problem with rolled a/c drains and mildew build up on microfilter, but I have since left the stealership and only touched a few F56's. Just my 2 cents from experience.
