Ok guys and gals,
I have bought a couple mini's over the past month, an 2003 base and a 2012 MCS R56. Both cars have had issues after buying them. The 2003 I have been able to fix and or figure out but this 2012 is kicking my butt on this interior light issue. Ok here is what I am having, open drivers/passenger door no lights meaning overhead and footwell lights. When I have the drivers door open the doors will not lock, if I have the pass side door open the doors will lock????? I tried this with the 2003 and the doors would not lock with either door open. Now on a side note if the hatch is opened the hatch lights will come on. And I am not getting the parking light flash when all doors are closed and car is locked. What I am thinking is maybe the pass side door lock actuator has a malfunction in the part that controls the interior lights. Not sure and not wanting to soend the 150.00 for the lock actuator if that isnt it. Have looked around the internet and cant find a simular issue. I guess what I am asking could the door lock actuator cause all these issues? The lock function is working just not the interior lights, alarm or the little black button on driver exterior handle. Any help would be appreciated

I don't think you 2 realized that you are posting this on the Gen 3 forum, and you have Gen 2 cars, so my advice is to post on that forum if you want answers.
