Whining noise during acceleration

I have a 2022 Mini Clubman JCW. I’m chasing an issue with a whining noise during acceleration. Doesn’t happen parked and revving the engine. Removed the air box to inspect it. Looked ok. Any ideas?

Sounds like a boost leak to me (i.e.- split hose, leaking o-ring, etc), since it seems tied to the throttle application. Easiest way would be to smoke pressure test the intake system.

You were right!! Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. Inspected all the the charge tubes and found a clamp loose/off the tube going into the inner cooler. Tighten it up and problem fixed!! Thanks again!

Awesome, glad it exposed itself that easily and was a simple fix!
