Hi All, wife has a 2015 Clubman Cooper S and it’s now out of warranty and starting to give issues.
P0171 fault code and local mechanic did smoke test but no leaks found. Reset code but light came back on after 2 weeks.
Already changed spark plugs, fuel treatment given and air filter is clean.
Thinking maybe fuel starvation instead of an air leak so next is to replace the fuel filter. Any ideas where it’s located and even better if you can suggest a part number.
Also, what scan tool would you recommend for basic tasks?
cheers.

Most of the codes stem from the connection up front

I believe the fuel filter is an integral part of the fuel pump, unfortunately. Originally Posted by Zoco

Interesting, I've searched everywhere and nobody seems to know whether or not the F-series Mini's have a fuel filter and if so, where it might be located. I mean, they have to have a fuel filter right?
Can any Mini Tech perhaps chime in on the B46 and B48 F56 Mini Cooper fuel filter location, if any?

Looks like its maybe in the fuel system pump itself and just a screen
The R60 Countryman and R61 MINI Paceman was the first new MINI not to have one as it was integrated into the pump. My guess is its the same, i have seen the same for the F55 F56 F57 MINIs, only one that does is for the Diesel MINI Coopers which we don't get here and its inline. The one filter is the charcoal filter and that's not a fuel filter, its for the fuel vapors
