I have noticed that vw, volvo and mercedes have the same bolt pattern 5x112 as our F54. There are a lot of used ones out there
for fairly cheap and I was hoping to pick some up for a winter set. My question is has anyone had any luck with any them; offset, hub center that kind of thing not jiving?

 

Typically if they are aftermarket the hub will be plenty large and likely need hubcentric rings to bring it down. My 3-second Google search is leading me to believe the F54 is a 66.6mm hub bore. I think a lot of Mercedes are the same so might be direct interchange there. VW I think is smaller ~57 so I assume all the VAG guys have rings in their wheels.

Offsets are typically good as all those brands seems to stick around high 30's - mid 40's offsets.

The one thing to make sure of is is the lug holes are large enough for the 14mm lug bolts. Some rims might only cater to smaller 12mm lugs...not sure what VAG and Merc's use.
