USCG Daughter needs help
USCG Daughter needs help
My daughter is stationed at Depoe Bay with her 04 MC. She got a check engine light on and needs to find out what is going on. Covered under an extended warranty but need to know where to send her for help. Car seems to be running ok and she has checked the gas cap to no avail. Your help is appreciated.

If the extended warranty specifies it must be worked on at a dealership then she would need to take it to Rasmussen in Portland. Otherwise she should be able to choose a local repair shop to perform the work if she wanted to.
I'd take it somewhere to have the code read first. Most extended warranties have deductibles associated with them. Most car parts stores will read the code for you for free.
Thanks for all the help I had forgotten about the recall on the O2 sensor and sure enough that was the problem. Replaced at Rasmussen and she is now running without the check engine light again as it should be
If your daughter needs help in the future we have a shop in the eugene area, I'll scan her car for free if she mentions its from north american motoring. (or any one else in the area too!) shop phone #541 741 2308
