Electrical low-impact bluetooth audio mod?
low-impact bluetooth audio mod?
howdy folks. :D my RG/MCSa is on its way to my dealer, and i've been trying to lay out a plan for connecting my bluetooth audio device (tmobile SDA music phone) to the audio system. I don't want to do anything dramatic- i would prefer to essetentially take advantage of existing dealer install options.
I have two possible scenarios in mind, but they both hinge on some details that i can't find info on yet:
I have two possible scenarios in mind, but they both hinge on some details that i can't find info on yet:
- I could get the aux. audio jack put into the glovebox, and connect a bluetooth audio reciever (i.e., motorolla dc800) to it. only problem is, I would need a dc12v outlet in the glovebox. does this come standard? is it possible to ask the dealer to install dc12v in the glovebox, if its not standard?
- I know there's a dc12v in the boot, so i could certainly move my bluetooth reciever back there- but i need audio inputs. can i ask the dealer to install the aux. input accessory in the boot, instead of in the glovebox? or, does the 6dc changer install kit put a pair of stereo RCA jacks in the boot?
