Powerbulbs brand H7

Hey,

I just wanted to give a quick heads up and word about the powerbulbs branded H7's available at powerbulbs.com.

I just put them in my high and low beams. They look really nice, white and bright. I'm glad that I got them versus the other ones as these are currently on sale. However, with the High beams as DRL's, they are still yellow. Not sure what I can do about this or if this is normal.

if anybody is interested, I can post pics sometime.

Regards,
Michael

good question. Not sure. Since they are meant for the Euro market they are ECE Regulation 37, but I don't know about DOT compliant.

Just wondering because, for example, real EU OSRAM Silverstars are NOT. US silverstars ARE.

I just got some Phillips Long Vision (or something like that), DOT legal and very nice.

If they're ECE compliant, then they are most likely not DOT legal. Its not like the police are going to know the difference. ECE lights have a sharper cutoff and don't light up the sides of the road as much. DOT lights have to shine part of the light on the sides of the roads to light up signs. Europe has self lit signs. My friend did a conversion to his MR2 and it really made a big difference.
