Bluetooth electrical hookup

Hooking up a bluetooth unit under the drivers side and would like to know if anyone can provide assistance with the following.

Green = ignition-switched location on the fuse block. When ignition is off the ignition sense line is low.

Red = positive battery lead to a point in te vehicle fuse box that is fused at 5 amp.

Black = ground

Can anyone direct me to easy places, in the fuse box, to connect these to?

Thanks....

The easiest way (unless you get MikeyTheMini's excellent wiring harness - I did) is to use a Littlefuse Add-A-Circuit:

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...number=071-580

Which allows you to add dedicated fused circuits for your accessories. I needed a switched 12V for my radar detector install and found it in the lower right corner of the fuse panel (I can't remember the exact fuse, use a multimeter or circuit tester to check). Since many of the MINI's accessories are switched by the computer, it was difficult to find real 12V switched, but it's there. 12V unswitched is all over. I used a dash bolt for ground.

Hope this helps.

I'll second the harness from newministuff.com if you have a nokia, parrot or SE kit, this will handle ALL of your power needs for the kit and mute the radio when a call comes in.....

One thing with the add-a-circuit kits, their all rated for 10Amps (not that you need that much for a BT kit) but there are no switched 10Amp circuits. The 5Amp circuits however are switched...
