keyfobs stopped working

so both keyfobs stopped unlocking/locking the car at the exact same time. I have INPA 5-.06 and a cable and have connected following the instructions in NCS for dummy. The FSW-PSW.MAN file showskomfortoeffnug_fb as aktiv, but remote lock unlock does not work. When I connect with INPA and go to the CAS I get an error message
VersionsKontrolle Nicht zusamenpasse
then it listes CAS VER 6.05 SGBD Ver 12 (inInpa)
SGBD ver 4.010
Inpa ver 6.050
the nettodat file is date stamped 7/22/2015
I loaded and followed the instructions from V53.05 datens from here, but am thinking that the firmware in the car is newer than 53.05

So two questions, is there a newer file and where do you get it?
second question, at this point I 'm looking for the problem, not to change the codes, what will give me diagnostics on the modules first?

The car starts. The unlock/lock switch does not work. Good point, so it is not antenna as the switch does not work.

AND, if you have fog lights, do they work when you push the switch?

fog lights work. and tonite re-checked the lock button on the dash, it works. So back to just the fobs don't work

You can go to autozone or pepboys to test the sognal of the fob.

My results for what we did is most likely a bad antenna...it is in the rear view mirror.

wow that’s a pain. Could there be a something wrong with the CAS module? That’s all I can offer at the moment.
There is a place that can refurbish it, I’ll find the info if you need it, just say the word

If the CAS is shot, the car wont start! his car is fine minus the reception of signal. the rear view mirror is plug and play and it take a hit to knock it done

You’re right, I got myself mixed up, it’s the footwell module I was thinking of. But it would probably not be the issue if the locks and windows work fine from the switches. It’s easy to think it’s just a bad fob too, except it’s not just a single fob having the problem. That seems like kind of a bad spot to put the antenna. Because the mirror can get bumped around so easily. I could break it just washing my windshield? Sheesh! I better be more careful, because I bump that thing all the time when I clean the car.

finally have inpa 7 loaded, but still having problems getting ista d and p to run. But the Can signal for FBD says FBD electric field strenght C1. Not sure if this is good or bad.
on the FRM Inpa loader gives me the mileage, battery at 14.33 and Sensorsannung at 0.00volt, is this correct?
on the cas module, I get three key fobs registered key 1 and 3 which is the new one that I bought in February
on the RC signal both of the circles don't show a signal.
Lastly Inpaloader does not connect to the Central control unit ZBE.

trying to figure out it what this means.
So the questions are: should there be a Central control unit ZBE?
is the sensorsannung on the FRM the problem?
