2012 JCW Battery Replacement - not rocket science

Hello,

I am in search of a replacement battery for my car. I have done some extensive searching and do not know why it is so complicated to find what is the replacement.

I thought it was the H5 (BCI Group 47) type battery I needed but every battery I look at has the terminals on the wrong side!

I need negative on the right.
Any help is appreciated

I replaced the battery in my 08 MCS and used a Duralast H5 DLG. Fit perfectly and no problems with terminal orientation

Thanks for the reply, maybe it is different for the 08 vs 12 as I need the negative terminal to be on the right side when facing the battery.

I looked up the battery you mentioned and the negative is on the left side.

Hmm I don't see why they would make a change like that. If you rotate the battery 180 degrees so the terminals are on the correct side then it should work. I think that's how the Duralast would be oriented too, because from this thread the terminals are on the rear of the battery:

True dat, I was being stupid! My car is in the shop and I was thinking the terminals were located in the front when the batter is installed, but now that I think about it they are in the back
