Is DME swap needed for different HPFP
Guys, I need some help here! I am putting a new motor in my 2011 Mini S.
My old motor had the Continental HPFP and the new replacement has the Bosch.
The connector for the Volume control is different between the two. I traced them down to different points on the X60231 plug. Luckily I have both of the wiring harnesses. But when I look at the pin out for the DME there is only one reference pin for the Continental and where the Bosch would land, it is a empty pin.
So I am wondering if I needed the DME that came with the Bosch HPFP.
Any help is greatly appreciated

I was told by BMW guys that I couldn’t just swap HPFP. I would have to swap all of the fuel system from computer to rails, injectors to HPFP. Hope this helps. I don’t have the car any longer as I got rid of it.
