Swapping 25w with 35w xenon

Question, can the 25w xenon bulb be replaced with a 35w ?
Just got the OEM 25w kit and don't even see a ballast unless it's in the bulb assy itself.

Also are these bulb assy's special as in mini only like everything else on the car

Thats a D5S bulb, ballast is the metal box under the bulb, doubt its compatible with the 35w D1S bulb

ya figured that out. I wanted to change color more than wattage but options for the D5S seem VERY limited.

I could do the mods to a D1S to fit in the socket but would have to run an external ballast and such. But I wonder if the car would get a bulb out warning ? If that happened I would be un happy.

So I guess I'll just live with it for now. Still yards better than the halogen it replaced.

Cant agree more 'yards better than halogen' (avoid a crash because i can see stuff much earlier and broader) lol Play safe and dont ruin the 2 yr warranty of the lights
