LED Fog lamps

hey guys, I been seeing alot of members here upgrading their fog lights from halogen --> hid. Has anyone tried upgrading to LED? and I'm not talking about those crappy $10-$20 ones on ebay with 20+smds. I seen the cree LED lights that come with a heatsink attached to the back of the led with fan to cool and a ballast, that outputs about the same lumens as the hids if not higher (at least that's what it's advertised) around $100 range. Also came across MTEC brand led fog/driving lamps that I'm considering but not any time soon!

If someone has done this upgrade, I need to hear their opinion on the light output, the cutoff line, and if possible to include a picture. thanks

Have you looked at VLEDs? They are pricey but usually good stuff, you get what you pay for.
